The National Park Service’s historic centennial year has people flocking to our nation’s most iconic parks to reconnect with mother nature and celebrate this once in a lifetime occasion. But as the centennial hype reminded the masses of the iconic views and ecosystems to be enjoyed, it’s become increasingly important to, wait for it, make a reservation. While most of us are accustomed to rolling up to our favorite campsites unobstructed, this year is proving to be an exception. And while each of our 417 National Parks are worth the drive, flight or hike, these 5 parks will without a doubt require a little more planning, and it’s not hard to understand why.
